Development of target null theory

چکیده
In a coor cross-polarized channel, the polarization states of the transmitting and receiving antennas are the same or orthogonal, and the corresponding target nulls (i.e., the CO-POL Nulls or X-POL Nulls) are defined as the polarization states of the transmitting antenna such that the received power equals zero. However, no systematic studies have been carried out to solve the problem of the corresponding target nulls if the polarization states of the transmitting and receiving antennas are independent. In this paper, the target null theory is extended to the case of two independent polarization states. For two arbitrary independent symmetric scattering matrices, it is proved that there exists only one pair of polarization states such that both of the received powers equal zero. This polarization states’ pair is called the co-null of the two targets, which can easily be obtained by solving an eigenvalue problem. Based on this concept and algebraic theory, the concept of the co-null space is introduced for the symmetric scattering matrix case, and many important results are presented, e.g., the relations between the co-null and the CO-POL/X-POL Nulls, the properties of the co-null space, and the relation between the co-null and target decomposition. Finally, the co-null for the asymmetric scattering matrix case is studied. The concepts of the mono-co-null space and the bi-co-null space are introduced, and the relations between both spaces are presented.

Double-null operators and the investigation of Birkhoff's theorem on discrete lp spaces
Doubly stochastic matrices play a fundamental role in the theory of majorization. Birkhoff's theorem explains the relation between $ntimes n$ doubly stochastic matrices and permutations. In this paper, we first introduce double-null operators and we will find some important properties of them. Then with the help of double-null operators, we investigate Birkhoff's theorem for descreate $l^p$ sp...
متن کاملFrom torsion theories to closure operators and factorization systems
Torsion theories are here extended to categories equipped with an ideal of 'null morphisms', or equivalently a full subcategory of 'null objects'. Instances of this extension include closure operators viewed as generalised torsion theories in a 'category of pairs', and factorization systems viewed as torsion theories in a category of morphisms. The first point has essentially been treated in [15].

Background Maternal health remains a central policy concern in Vietnam. With a commitment to achieving the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) 5 target of maternal mortality rate (MMR) of 70/100 000 by 2015, the Ministry of Health (MoH) issued the National Plan for Safe Motherhood (NPSM) 2003-2010. In 2008, reproductive health, including safe motherhood (SM) became a national health target progra...
متن کاملThe Volume-of-Tube Formula: Perturbation Tests, Mixture Models and Scan Statistics
This article creates a general class of perturbation models which are described by an underlying null model that accounts for most of the structure in data while a perturbation accounts for possible small localized departures. The goal is to develop theory and inferential methods for fitting the perturbation models including the general case when the null model contains a set of nuisance parame...
متن کاملGenetic Polymorphism of the Glutathione S-Transferase M1 and Development of Breast Cancer
Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) are encoded by a superfamily of genes and play a role in the detoxification of potential carcinogens. The human GSTs are divided into four classes: alpha, mu, pi and theta. Previous studies indicated that the absence of the Glutathione S-Transferase M1 (GSTM1) protein correlated with an increased risk of developing some types of cancers. Association between spe...
